Utility Companies Billing Consumers For Water and Energy They Don't Use

Each year millions of Americans are paying their utility companies, hundreds of dollars more than they should on their water and energy bills.

Our economy is in it's worst shape since the "Great Depression," and even with the new government now in office ... it's still going to take years before we can dig ourselves out of this mess. But here is a fact that should be of deep concern to all Americans…

Millions of Americans are unaware that their utility companies are billing them for water and energy they don't use. This has been going on for more than a hundred years, dating back to when most homes had bathrooms equipped with running showers ... back when utility meters were first installed.

The utility companies are aware of this practice but continue to do it because according to the law... there is nothing illegal in their billing policy's. This type of billing is so widespread throughout the country that the utility companies themselves can't stop it even thou they've tried. So who has the authority or power to put an end to this... Where can the consumer turn for help?

With our utility rates at an all-time high and more rate increases expected, you would think there would be a National Outcry to put an end to this form of billing. Where are the rallies and what is our government doing about it!

To be fair, the utility companies are not to blame for our misuse of these resources. They have been telling us for years to; check for leaks, turn off the lights when not in use and a host of other suggestions that would lower our bills … we just weren’t listening!

So now there’s an outcry for help being heard around the world, but it’s not coming from consumers or directed at the utility companies, but coming from the earth itself in the form of; Global Warming, Water Shortages, Air Pollution and Severe Droughts.

Water and energy conservation is the responsibility of each of us, and in order for us to continue to enjoy a clean and healthy life in today's troubling world we need to do all we can to protect and conserve this precious life-giving resource.
